If it’s been a while since you’ve been on a first date, here are a few pointers to ensure your next one is a success. Don’t get caught up in the version of yourself you wish you were.
Don’t put pressure on yourself to be witty, smart or alluring.
It is overwhelming and can end a relationship before it starts. Hopefully, by this point, this goes without saying. It devastates so many women when a first date does not become a relationship.
Men will easily get turned off by a woman who calls or texts too much.
Men are attracted to women who are self assured and confident in what they want.
I realized that it had very little to do with the men, but more to do with how the women approached dating.
Men want a girl that they can laugh with and enjoy themselves, if you don’t relax then neither will he and he may get the impression that you take yourself too seriously. If he playfully makes fun of you don’t get defensive, laugh and give him as good as you got.
While trying to flirt or be sexy, women can come across as being too intense. Don’t concentrate so hard on being attractive that you wont crack a stupid joke or pull a funny face.
By acknowledging that your brain just failed you, you’ll be breaking the ice and making him more comfortable, too.
Show interest in your date and be an active listener. (If you talk non-stop when you’re nervous, try to be aware of this and intentionally refocus the conversation on him.) 8.
