Avg not updating virus definitions

Current updates are in different areas of the website for the free version and the paid for version.

I've installed AVG Anti-virus Free on two computers and I'm using Windows 7 on both.

Antivirus applications are installed by computer users to detect and remove malware data, including viruses, trojans, worms et c In order to keep antivirus programs up-to-date with the latest threats, without continuously updating the antivirus package, security companies use virus definitions (also known as virus database, update or pattern).

Virus definitions are not stand-alone packages: their purpose is to update an antivirus already present on the user’s computer.

AVG Free users can install the update directly from within the program.
