19 year old dating 16 year old laws Adult chat with girls over 35
I talked to him at school today, and I asked him if we should break up. But as I said in my earlier post, we can still see each other at school and the library so I'm happy with that.
Alright, my earlier questions have pretty much been answered, except that I am still wondering if his mother can press charges against me for seeing him at school/library.
The thing I am worried about is that she could press charges against me for dating her 16 year old son.
We have not done anything sexual (unless kissing falls under those guidelines) and I am aware of the law that says it is illegal for anyone under the age of 17 to have sex.
I'm 18 an "adult" by law, but I'm still in High School, I still have "children" as friends, and I still find myself attracted to my 16 year old boyfriend.
I know that a girl dating a younger guy is not usually the common thing, in fact, he is my first boyfriend that is younger than me.
As for my parents, I didn't mention this earlier, but we don't really have a speaking relationship.
We get along well and are able to have real conversations, even though sometimes our views clash. Thank you, Jennifer Let me say first that your post was very well written and you appear to be a mature, intelligent young lady.
I admit that I do feel a certain something around him, but I think perhaps it's puppy love.
In fact, he even hinted at getting married (but you can't get married until you are 18, unless granted permission from a judge [i think] and I informed him of that) but I don't want to even think about getting married. I feel rather pathetic, but I like getting a more mature oppinion because sometimes I can look at things immaturely, and I need to learn to grow more mature so I can become an adult.
If you haven't, you need to be as clear as crystal. You are correct in that you cannot get married under the age of 18 without parental consent.
And no, she cannot press any charges against you for seeing her son while you are at school or the library.
